Excitement is building for the Birmingham Assay Office’s upcoming ‘Crafting Your Career in the Jewellery Industry’ event, taking place on Thursday, 27th March 2025, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. This free event is designed to inspire and educate the next generation of jewellery professionals, featuring live demonstrations, expert talks, and invaluable insights into career pathways within the jewellery industry.
LIVE DEMONSTRATIONS FROM LEADING INDUSTRY EXPERTS
This year’s event promises an enriched experience, showcasing the craftsmanship and technical expertise essential to roles across the jewellery sector.
Organisations such as Stonehouse, Timpson, HS Walsh, and At The Bench will deliver live demonstrations, offering attendees a rare opportunity to witness the artistry and precision that define the industry.
The event will also include a showcase of the Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design 2025 Awards, celebrating innovation and excellence in jewellery design.
INSIGHTFUL GUEST SPEAKER DEMONSTRATIONS
The day will also include a programme of guest speaker presentations, scheduled from 11:00am to 2:00pm, featuring prominent voices from across the jewellery sector.
Among the speakers are industry professionals from Hockley Mint, Aston University Engineering Academy, At the Bench, and Mesmeric Distribution, who will share their career journeys, discuss running a jewellery business, highlight educational opportunities, and showcase the jewellery production process. They will also offer expert insights and advice on navigating diverse roles, from design and craftsmanship to business, sales, and marketing.
